Through our Healthy Communities program area, the Meyer Foundation aims to build thriving communities in which low-income adults and families have access to health care and other essential services, and supports public policy changes to reduce poverty.
Our grants in the Healthy Communities program area support organizations that are working toward these outcomes:
Health: Low-income people have access to high-quality primary care that integrates mental and behavioral health care and eliminates health disparities.
Essential Services: Low-income people have affordable places to live, healthful food to eat, and access to services that promote health and personal safety.
Public Policy: Local and state governments in the region have policies aimed at strengthening the safety net, reducing poverty, and improving the lives of low-income people.
