The Arlington Free Clinic has become the first free health care provider in the country to be awarded the prestigious LEED Gold certification for sustainable building and design. The certification was awarded to the Free Clinic's new building, to which Meyer was a major donor. Nancy Sanger Pallesen, the clinic's executive director, said the group's new green building is more efficient, allowing the staff to dedicate more of its revenue directly to patient care.
