George Jones, executive director of Meyer grantee Bread for the City, was quoted in a Washington Post article about the possibility of a tax increase in D.C. Jones spoke in support of raising taxes on the city's wealthiest residents in order to fund social services for the neediest. The proposal created by the Fair Budget Coalition, a group that includes many Meyer grantees.
